I think he means that deep blue is right before the shedding occurs, when the snake looks clear after being very dull. :]

Good action video. I hate to see 3 minute feeding videos on You Tube that have 2 minutes and 57 seconds of dangling and 3 seconds of strike. You showed a variety of nice snakes also.
