    knitting and crocheting.

so okay. I LOVE to knit and crochet. it hurts my hands after awhile if im using small needles haha but i love it just the same. so does anyone have any cool things that you have completed? i have a ton of books, but not really that many things in them that i want to knit. ive made 2 kids ponchos (one for my daughter and one for her friend) a few scarves, a shrug, an unfinished skirt (made it too big haha) and a poncho for myself that doubles as a baby car seat cover if its to cold outside. so post those pix ppl! and be ready to share patterns!

    Re: knitting and crocheting.

I did crochet a blanket for each of my children. I'll have to get some pics up later, when I figure out what I did with my silly camera.

    Re: knitting and crocheting.

I've crocheted a few blankets and scarves, etc. Not really any fancy stitches. The best patterns I've found have been from the inside wrapper of the yarn skeins. (sp?) I did a stuffed bear for my little cousin a few years ago but I don't have a picture. I don't think I have the pattern anymore either... If you're interested, I can look, though!

I also made some winter hats for my lil cousins but I just made em up myself and never bothered to write down what I was doing..

I cross stitch, but I've always wanted to learn how to knit!

My aunt tried teaching me how to knit... I kinda got it figured out (just the basic knit stitch) but... two needles... just can't get the hang of it... Kept dropping stitches all over the place. I'll stick with crocheting! Lol! Not that I do it very often...

i started out crocheting, and went from there to learn how to knit (what can i say, i like weapons...especially productive ones. ) and i think crocheting is much harder. with knitting, you hardly have to pick up stitches (unless the pattern calls for it your you drop it but its not that hard to pick up dropped ones) cuz the stitches stay on the needles. but with crocheting, you have to know exactly where to insert the hook and its harder (for me) to keep the stitch size uniform. i love both though.i like making things even though i rarely wear or use what i make.
