Orrr. If someone else out there wants to share with me. I really would like to get this on the way... I'd really appreciate it.
I use the rat rack that is in the DIY section http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=65939

The only difference is that I use 1/4 hardware cloth for ASF

The tubs are deep enough to allow a small wheel.

PM me if you need help building or where to find the tubs etc

Mine are in eight 20L and one 75 gallon aquariums.

I think 10 gallon tanks are a better choice though since the thick glass on a 20L tank is overkill when it's not full of water, and causes the price to be quite a bit higher than a pair of 10G.

Re: what do you keep your ASF's in

I have been keeping my initial 2.2 in a large tank, and have a few trios in small tanks, but use tubs as grow out containers. I find the ones that I have been handling from day one are not chewers, so they do OK in tubs, but that the first ones I got are major chewers and need tanks.

The goal though is to build a rack for them in the near future. Just seems like it will make the whole system easier.

Someone did not read all the instructions thought

I would recommend to drill pilot holes.

Re: what do you keep your ASF's in

Sorry was in a hurry when I posed the thread... wanted to say that there are 3 reasons I probably won't change to tubs.

1.) In my opinion nothing is more secure then tanks. In a house like mine where my fiance does not particularly care for rodents, but tolerates them for my benefit... A loose rat is a MAJOR problem...

2.) I LOVE MY ASF's! They are Very relaxing for me to watch and care for. early in the morning, during the day, late at night... doesn't matter when. I just love to sit back and watch the tanks. (I have 12 - ten gallon tanks all on the same utilitly shelf) It's funny, I often spend more time with my ASF's then I do my snakes!!!!!

3.) While they are not as easy as tubs, 10 gallon tanks are still very easy to clean and keep up with. They are light, and easy to "dump"...

Its really just a personal preference suppose... I was just interested to see what others did and thought.

I like the convienence of feeding and watering them from outside the rack...makes it go much quicker...
