    Stained glass idea

Okay, so I was doodling at work, and my hand just starts drawing silly things. After I was done looking at what I had drawn, I thought that perhaps it would make a cool stained glass piece.

I scanned it in because I hit a road block. It's uneven and my OCD nature needs it to be even. What to make on the left side?

Trust me when I say this is rough, it's about 2 x 3 inches... be nice Knowing me, the final drawing will look nothing like the first doodles. Okay, have at it.

It is a very cool idea, but it will be a 100% pain in the tushy to cut that whole snake out like that unless you are making it a large piece..

    And those roots...

LOL, I know! The roots will mostly be squares. Easier that way

But the snake... gonna take a lot of tears, but not impossible.

    Re: Stained glass idea

I haven't done glass in a LONG time..

Used to take a class with my father when I was younger.

I like the idea a lot. I just think it will be tough.. But the rewards will be that much greater

The snake will be super super tough to cut. But I really like the idea that you have going.

    Re: Stained glass idea

I'm not so worried about the snake part, as most likely it will be many small pieces. Stained glass can be done with curves and circles, it just takes skill, patience and a lot of time.

Hey Connie! I feel your need for balance... LOL I had this idea, but thought it would be better to draw a fast idea than try to explain... I thought it would be cool to have some type of waterfall-ish think on the left and on the bottom left to counter the tree....
If the roots tapped into the water I think that would really neat!

    Re: Stained glass idea

you could help yourself out and give the snake some kind of triangular pattern. ive been doin stain glass for bout 4 years now and that snake would be close to impossible and very frustrating. still a really cool outline tho

Awesome addition!!! The water element not only balances the very cool idea of Connie's but also balances out the elements in the picture and cools it down some. Really nice!!
Okay, so now the two of you need to come out to the ranch when we have the castle finished and put your touches on it!!
