    I love the little mini - me stage!!!

    So moms about to pop again?? Don't you just love it!!?? The thing I find most remarkable about ASF'S is the way the females were made to have back to back litters their entire reproductive life. You will see litter after litter after litter, the moms get bigger, stronger, and more healthier looking with each new litter!

    Well, I'm stopping the litters after this second one. Dad's been removed. I've read many sites online from Europe that declare these rats to be incredibly welcoming of strangers of their and other species, I guess I'll be putting that to the test in the future.

    Dad's going to be in with the boys in the next few weeks, as he's already been removed from the First mother as she gets ready to birth these next few days to avoid another pregnancy.

    Please report back on how that goes. I tried it once, and it was a total blood bath. Freaked me out enough to NEVER try it again.

    Aww, cute! Yea, I need to start breeding my own ASF soon, as soon as I can find where to get some around here. I have a couple picky eaters in the bunch...

    I wanted to try and throw a small rat in my ASFs tub to get the scent on it for 30 minutes but am hesitant to see if any destrcuction is done. Guess the only way is to throw it in there and watch the whole time.

    Don't do it. they will immediately fight. Just take the ASF's out of their tub, and put them in a temporary container. then put the small rat in the empty ASF tub. Let him run around it for a little while and you will accomplish the same thing.
