Ball pythons at the top for good.
Starting next year people will need permit's in the state of florida to own big snake's. I heard frrom someone pretty big in the industry that the daytona show is going to be hurt by this big time. I'll tell you this bp's are only going to become more and more popular all this bp market rubbish is crap. What do you guy's think?

yeah, in my county, you aren't allowed any venomous snakes, or snakes over 10 feet long! oops... i guess nobody mentioned that fact to my friend with the 14 foot burm! actually, he's been trying to find a home for her but no luck
but, i can totally understand the reasoning behind that new law with all the burms in the everglades....

well yea thats a good idea cause in florida burmese and reticulated pythons are being found in the wild more and more. same ol' story people get them when they are young and then just let them go when they get to big to handle or what ever other story they make up.
but back to the actual point of the thread, bp's are already popular and this will just maybe get more people interested.

i wish instead of punishing people that do care for their animals there was some way to really grill little punks who just up and decide to get a retic or a burm to be a 'bamf'.
i would think if you couldnt keep larger snakes some of those would get into boas? or is FL going after those too?

From the little I understand of htis new law it covers six "reptiles of concern", requires a $100.00 per year registration fee and microchipping of the legislated reptiles.

so, if the demand for balls does shoot up because of this new law, does that mean prices will too?

i dont think because one state gets an influx of new laws that the bp prices will go up, one state won't have an effect on the whole marketplace, if anything some people in florida will up their prices, but you can order them from anywhere in the lower 48 so i can't see it making a difference
