    Try a plastic tray with a clear lid for starting seedlings. Use a layer of orchid bark, a thick layer of moist sphagnum moss and some live sheet moss on top. Dig up a few pieces of fern and plant them in all 3 layers, and try to get some with visable spores. Mist it daily and keep the humidity up. This is my setup for 2 of my dart frogs, and I have uncontrollable amounts of ferns growing out of nowhere. I saw one fern leaf sticking out of a piece of live sheet moss I bought and it looked dead, but I'm overrun now. Once you get one established you should be able to transplant it and it will take off.
