    The snake will be the same size before and after the shed (though he will be much more pretty ). It is a much different situation than a T molt, where the T is noticeably larger after a molt. Snakes aren't squeezed into an exoskeleton.

    The shed skin will stretch, though, and will be longer than the snake is, which can be kind of weird to see the first time.
