Beans' enclosure got a cleaning and new arrangement.

Cleaned out his enclosure, the only thing I haven't put back in there are his live plants. New photos will be taken once I put them back in of course! I am going to upgrade him to a 4x2x2 pvc when I can but for now this is working even though he is a bit cramped.
The little hut was originally going to be some sort of DIY cold hide but it ended up too small for him and the hammock works just fine for a hidey place so now it's an extra decor piece. Now his enclosure looks LOTR inspired, like Radagast The Brown is living in his enclosure haha

I'm curious, does he ever get on his rope bridge? (He can't get stuck, can he? I can't tell size relationship from that photo.) Love the close-up!

Re: Beans' enclosure got a cleaning and new arrangement.

I did worry about him getting stuck after I bought it but then putting it in his enclosure I realized he would be fine, he's smart enough and has gone on it quite a bit and put his head through it once but didn't get stuck at all. He climbs over the bridge and the stick a lot now since he has gotten used to them being there. He doesn't wrap around the stick like I expected (he had a beautiful magnetic vine that I bought at my first reptile expo that he would wrap around like a green tree python, it was adorable but he has outgrown it and anytime he would try to sit on it he would drag it right to the ground! The stick was my attempt to get him something he can enjoy the same way) but he does drape himself over the bridge and rest his head on the stick to bask. I think it is too close to the screen top and the heat lamp for him to feel comfortable wrapping around it, which will be resolved once he is upgraded to a 4x2x2.
And yes his close ups are the best!
he always has to sniff the camera and it makes for some cute pictures.

At least if he ever does get stuck in that "ladder bridge", it's easy to cut the rope at either side. Snakes do the darnedest things, believe me.

Oh yes he has done some interesting things... From thinking my thumb was a female snake to getting stuck in an old decor piece that was made of stone and I had to spend 15 minutes gently getting him out of there... I thought you were talking about him getting wedged between the wood pieces, which like I said probably won't end up happening but it's soft wood that would be easy to break if I needed to "rescue" him haha. The string/twine is easily tied and untied in fact I had to untie the original knots to make new ones so that the bridge wouldn't be touching the ground.

I was. But yes, snakes have other goofy "talents" too.

I added in the potted plants! The photo quality is worse than the other photos but you can still see them.

(You can even see Beans's side through the hide opening, he's moping because I misted his enclosure and some water got on his face)
