How long should I let my female settle in before I introduce a male?

Hello. I'll be attempting my first clutch the beginning of 2024, I've had the male for a bit but I just got the female I intend to use about a week ago. She's from a friend who owned her as a pet for the past couple years without other snakes so quarintining time won't be an issue.

They're both proven breeders, the female 2100 grams.

Is there a chance she'll reject the male if she's stressed from the move? How long should I wait before I pair them up?

Also, how often and how long should I pair them up once I do start pairing them? How do I know that he's gotten the job done?

Any other advice for a beginner breeder?
    Thanks.

You should definitely be quarantining her for at least 90 days in a different room entirely. That's before you even decide when to put them together. If she's carrying an infection or parasite she can easily pass that to your male through your handling or by contact for breeding.
Entire breeder colonies have been destroyed because of one sick animal. So as a beginner breeder, that's the most basic of advice I can give.

Even if she was owned by a friend... If she's a carrier stress can cause issues. At the very least 30 days alone so you see her eat and drink normally. And behaving normally

+1 on the above. Viruses can be dormant for years and flare up (and start shedding) with the stress of a move.
