ID confirmation - is this a standard pastel?

Hello everyone!

Hoping to get some confirmation on my BP's morph. Do they appear to be a normal pastel BP? Whenever I see images of pastels, they all seem to be mainly yellow, where this guy is tan and cream.

The thing to remember is that ball pythons change color as they age. They'll tend to dull out. I'm sure most of the bright pastels you're seeing are young or just hatchlings. Or possibly are from different combos to bring out the colors as well.

Sometimes, the level of expression matters as well. If you tend to breed the brightest to the brightest, you're more likely to have bright offspring as well. Some pastels are so low expression that they're only slightly brighter than a normal phase.

Yours definitely looks like my previous pastel ball python at 3 years of age.

You can always go to a site like MorphMarket and look up examples of the different genes people have for sale.
If you look up adult single gene pastels you'll see a lot that have changed quite a bit.
