LOL it's a male yellow so he's not too too big. His "bathtub" is just a regular plastic tub big enough for him to soak in. Usually he likes to be in there with his head on the edge of it.

I read somewhere at the time that if the big / giant snakes had hides that they were more likely to be viv defensive .. I always felt safer when I could see them when cleaning around them or adding fresh water
Oddly enough my Burms and Retics were all puppy tame even without a lot of handling .

100% when I created this thread I was moving my tegu enclosure and I found a big snake hide that I think I got him when he was a baby...for a moment i considered giving my burm the hide then had this exact thought. Of he uses it and I have to get him out from under the hide that would change his whole sort of mindset and seeing me all the time as he gazed out his sliding glass.
