BP sitting in water bowl. Have chec for mites. Humidty 50-60%

So my little dude seems to sit in his water bowl quite a lot.
I looked it up the first time and read it could be mites. There are no mites that i can see, I handle him and have no mites on my hands and there are none in the water bowl.

I dont think its beuase of shedding as i have seen him in the bowl multiple times over the last 2 weeks.

He spends most of his time in his hide but does come out. He is often interested in the mesh on the vivarium on the cool end (where the water bowl is) and often taps his head along the mesh.

The humidity is 50-60%.
I feed him small mice (which he was fed on at the store too). He eats fine.
Any ideas?

Temperature too high? Pictures of your setup could be useful.

If there is no mite, humidity is fine (depends how you measure it some gauge are way off) and the food size is appropriate, the animal could be too hot, or using the water dish as a hide because the hide does not provide adequate security.

Healthy BP rarely soak so you need to find what causes that and if your BP persist provide a water dish some enough he can no longer soak in.
