Hi all, i am new to ball python breeding this year, and i was hoping i could get some advice. I currently have a couple females who lhave locked up with males multiple times over the past few months, yet i have yet to see any signs of building follicles or ovulation. I am really really hoping to produce a few clutches and i just want to make sure i am on the right track. For all of my snakes are in a rack with belly heat which has been in the low 80's for cooling since november of last year. I have one pair that lock up every time i introduce them (once a week) and have been doing so for a few months now, another female has locked only a couple times in the past few months and i also have a couple males that won't lock with anybody. When should i start to see signs of pregnancy in the females? is my setup correct and will my snakes produce anything at all? I haven't been able to feel any follicles in any of the females but i also my not be doing it correctly, any advice for my snakes would be greatly appreciated!!! Oh and the female that has been locking constistently is huge, like almost 4000 grams so i know she is definitely ready to breed.
