    First ball - lesser!

I just got my first ball python from a Reptiday event, he's gorgeous and only balled little at first but then was pretty curious when I took him out of the bag before putting him in his new home to chill for a week. I go to school in another state so I won't get to see him for a bit, but my sister and her bf (who has had snakes before) are watching him for me, and this way I can have a true quarantine (I have a corn and geckos at school) and I graduate in six months and am moving down so now stressful moving situations for him!

Anyway, he's a lesser and I'm already in love with him! I've named him Simon (although those alien head patterns are really tempting me to go for Mulder - alas I'm saving Mulder for a Mulder + Scully cat duo when I'm finally on my own). He's all tucked up in his bin and explored for a bit before going to his hide. They were feeding him live hoppers at the breeders but I picked up some frozen, so we'll see if he'll switch to that. If not, my sister's bf has no qualms about feeding live for a bit until we can get him on frozen (or on live if he's a super picky eater).

Thanks! And yeah....I can tell it's going to be a struggle to keep from getting more, I only handled him for a half hour (including time at the show) and I completely fell in love with him (and bps! - love how solid they are compared to my lil corn - who I adore but can't trust not to zip off into the distance).

According to my sister he's eaten his f/t hoppers for the past two weeks with no trouble! Hooray! Also, I figured out that it's not six months but three months until I graduate so I get to see him sooner! I'm still bugging my sister to send me pics tho xP

I'm finally back home and have had time to get to know him! Apparently he was bitey with my sister's bf but I haven't been bitten. Lots of s curves but as long as I move slowly he comes out of it and is fine. He's weighing about 155g (not empty) and was born sometime late 2014 (I didn't get any information with him when I purchased him, just that he's a male and a lesser). Currently he's on two mouse hoppers which is about 10-15% of his weight but I've got a rat pup ready for him as soon as he's gains a few grams.
