Size difference between male and female BCCs.

    Hello all,
I plan on getting a Suriname BCC soon and was wondering if females get larger than the males. Or, do both sexes have about the same max length. I don't want a snake that is over ten feet because I think it would be a pain to handle it by myself.
    Thank you!

You can usually plan on the females being larger than the males. From what I have read about Surinames, the females usually get to about 7-8 ft. with normal, proper care and males normally reach between 5-6 ft. Of course their are exceptions and ways to make them larger.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Females can get up to 10' and males 7' but that's uncommon. Most females will get around 7-8' and males around 5-6'. Make sure you read up on the care for BCC as they are less forgiving about husbandry errors as BCI are. Biggest thing is BCC are more prone to regurgitating if fed too big of meal vs BCI which are generally garbage disposals. Also make sure you get your Suri from a reliable breeder.
