    Power outages

JUst wondering what plans people have for power outages. Last night one of our fuses blew and luckily half of our apartment still had power so we ran our line to hook up the heat.
but what are some solid emergency plans people have in place?

Harbor Freight is having a heck of a Black Friday special on generators.

Yeah before we realized it was only half of our home I was this close to packing the kids up and heading to grandmas house. (Which she would love since she hates snakes :p )

but the space heater and small generator ideas are great! Thanks guys,
and sorry didn't realize we had a post about this not too long ago.

    Re: Power outages

As for us, we shouldn't really have a problem with an outage, as our home is brick, and the icing on the cake for us is that we live in the south. My parents were from the north so I don't have a drawl or a southern accent, in case any were wondering haha. Yeah anyways the farthest it could get might be 60 degrees, which a bluey could handle. I think they can handle down to 50 degrees, but doing so will draw them into a hibernation, where they will not eat for a while and will stay burrowed.

We keep our genny full of gas and ready to take over. Steve has it wired somehow that it will run all the necessary stuff in the house when hooked up. It's noisy as heck tho lol
