Accepting credit cards on your website and CC over the phone

I have had a couple customers recently that don't or can't use paypal for whatever reason so I was looking into ways to accept credit cards from my website. Any of you guys have any suggestions?

I am a bit skeptical about running a credit card over the phone, I have square and the paypal equivalent, but don't really like typing in the credit card number as you can be charged back in those instances a lot easier.

    What do you guys do?

well, looks like square can send them an invoice as well by email, but still looking for more ways that you handle these situations.

    thanks

Running credit card through a website is expensive and not worth it for a transaction here and there.

    Payment getaway

    Merchant account

    etc

You will have to pay a monthly fee, the advantage with square or ems you pay per transaction.

I sometimes do side work on cars and have people send me money through paypal without them being a member of paypal. You don't have to sign up for paypal to send money to someone who has a paypal account. Maybe this would be an option unless they are just dead set on not using paypal for some reason.

Paypal for online transactions, as said above you don't need an account to use it, they can just use their credit card info and send it to you.

You don't need a paypal account to send money and they can use anything they want to pay even Bank EFT. I use square when processing anything in person and if someone does a payment plan then I send Square invoices. Also Square will integrate with Quickbooks so all the tax info at the end of the year is easy to take care of.

I just experienced the same problem last night. A buyer was interested in a champagne and he didnt and wouldnt make a paypal account. You would have to set your site up for e-commerce I believe in order to accept credit cards. With paypal you can just go to the top and click on request money and put their email in and it will send a request for payment direct to their email and they can pay off there without setting up a paypal account...
