A lid.
Critter Keepers from petsmart hold 5+ pound BPs and are cheap.

Re: weighing?
I have found that my bp, Shesha, won't stay on the scale at all when it is normal activity times for him. I take him out around noon before work once a week to weigh. Usually I can scoop him up still coiled and set him on the scale before he perks up. He gets curious and starts moving around shortly after but I get enough time with him still to get an accurate weight.

Re: weighing?
Get a snake bag and weigh her in that.

I put a big bowl on the scales, and use the tare function to zero it. Then add your BP, it only takes a few seconds and they you can get em out again. Use both hands to control the length of it's body and just guide it into the bowl or box on the scales.

I normally wont handle for at least 48 hours to allow them to digest in peace, so anytime after that and before the next feeding. Hope this helps.

Just didn't know if weighing hr after the 48 hrs would throw the scale off since three food might not be all the way digested.

Not at all, until it is excreted in the conventional ways then that weight won't change much. Snakes don't waste energy on heating up their bodies or moving so all that energy goes into the snake. Plus if you keep to the same schedule, weighing 2 days after then the reading will be consistent anyway. Anything after 2 days is fine.
