Always hungry pastave girl, please help

I have a pastave girl which is always hungry. She ate 3 rats in 10 days (35 grammes each). The later was 2 days ago. She is begging for more! She was weighing 270 grammes the 8/15. She should be weighing more than 400 grammes now for 90 cm. When I come around her enclosure, she is ready to strike, moving her head up, in a S. I don't know when she was born, but I think in late 2013.
What should I do? Will she get sick if she eat too much?
I am hoping to breed her in 14 months so the more she weights, the better.
Maybe she is older than I thought and she is recovering from a long diet?

Proper sized meal ever 3-4 days. So 270g snake would be fed a rat between 35-45g every 3-4 days until they usually reach 4-500gs. I feed mine every 4 days cause I am in no rush to ramp up their size. Its been known to cause issue to overfeed your animals.

Some animals just have a heartier appetite than others. You could try feeding her slightly larger prey items to see if that helps keep her fuller, longer. I would not worry too much, just let her go at least 5 days between feedings, and she'll grow as fast as she's meant to grow.

One feeding per week of the proper sized rodent is sufficient, stop offering your snake more, and they won't eat more

I agree. Feeding once a week a proper meal is the way to go. There's no need to feed every 4 days unless you're trying to power feed your snake.

I dont think feeding every 4 days untill 400g is power feeding. I do it cause it builds a solid food response and I feed appropriate sized food on the smaller end of the scale. Slamming 2 larger prey back to back until 1500g is power feeding.

You cant power feed a ball python, another specie yes, but not balls. In that size is normal that she wants to eat everything, even more if she wasnt fed properly. Eventually she will stop eating and then you 'll be worry about that. Dont worry, it's normal. In that size if they are digesting normally my holdbacks get two meals a week. Like I said, they eventually stop eating that much on their own.
    Dont worry.

Thank you, I have a normal I believe to be 6 months and I was told feed once every week, but I feel like he is hungrier than that. I am not trying to overfeed, he just seems to be roaming and pushing to get out in my opinion. He shed twice in two weeks maybe his metabolism is faster ….lol…I don’t know , but I am gonna move up to every 5 days…at least until his actions and characteristics of him, make me think otherwise…maybe it depends on individual snake?

Re: Always hungry pastave girl, please help

Thanks for your replies. She is now 380 grammes. I have juste weighted her. I have bought 50 grammes rats for her. I will give her one every 5-7 days. She's big for her age (90 cm -36 inches). My other 2013 females are smaller (60 cm - 24 inches and around 300 grammes).
As I don't know exactly when she is born, I was wondering if she could be older.
I have seen a chart about age and size of ball pythons but can't find it anymore.
I was hoping that a breeder could tell me. ..
Maybe she's recovering from a long diet, I don't know.
    Thanks.

2 days after eating a 50 grammes rat, she is hunting again! Sure she will eat one more.
    But she will wait.
Do you think she is too fat?
