    How many holes per hide?

Ordered some hollow resin rocks to use as BP hides from Scott Allen at Vivarium Works (www.vivariumworks.com) and they're awesome.

I'm going to cut openings into them tonight, and I'm wondering how many entrances I should cut out.

Does it make sense to maybe put 1 on the smaller hides and 2-3 on the larger ones? I got various sizes since I have males and females of different ages. The largest one is probably 12x20'' or so.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I'd probably stick to one hole - as tall as the snake but wide enough for its thickest part to fit through twice.

More than one hole might make the hide light inside.

Gotcha. And thanks for the width/height ratio comment, I wouldn't have thought to do it exactly that way. Just a big enough hole for the snake to fit through, haha.

If it looks too tiny it's perfect!

If you are cutting from the rim to the desired depth it isn't as important really but if you make it in a way the hole is surrounded they can get themselves stuck - silly beasties.
