    Snake unattended for 3 nights?

    Hi everyone, quick question.
Will my snakes be ok for 3 nights without anyone home? I'm going to Lawton, Oklahoma next Wednesday and coming home on Saturday for my brother's graduation from basic training! I'm not feedibg either of them and they'll have plenty of water. And it gets a little cold in the house and I'm plannong to raise the hotspot for the bp to 94 F. Yay or nay?

There's no need to raise the hot spot if you are maintaining your usual conditions with them. They won't even notice you're gone; that's one of the nice things about snakes as pets!

Yup, as long as you are using a reliable thermostat to control your heat, they are fine

Yeah, my only concern would be the water really. (Then again, my girl drinks like a fish so it could just be me). If it were me I would leave some extra water in there just in case.

I am sorry for your loss.

Snakes are very tolerant of short term neglect. As long as temps are fine there is little that can go wrong like this. I often leave them for a 4 days alone. I just make sure there is enough water and they will be fine. If I was planning for a longer trip I'd suggest having someone look in and change water and spot clean but for a few days there should be no issues at all. I might suggest if you have newspaper substrate that a particle substrate might be a bit better as a big wet pee can saturate newspaper where coco coir or something will control the spill better.

Thanks for the condolences. Yeah I plan on filling their water bowls almost to the brim. The substrate change is a good thought. Thank god I have some aspen left.

    Snake unattended for 3 nights?

If you can go without messing with them for 3 days while at home. It shouldn't be a problem. My only small concern is if there is a power outage.

Yeah I'm a little worried over that. But so far no storms or anything is coming!

Go Field Artilery! I love the area surrounding Ft. Sill and downrange Fort Sill, as well. Enjoy your time there and congrats to your brother. Hooah and BOOM!
