I have a cool side and a warm side in a 15qt tub. What exactly is the problem? You can keep her in there for probably the next year. By all means, move her up to the 28qt if you wish, but they like the tight cramped spaces.

    Just snapped this quick picture

I have them in a rack, if you aren't using a rack you might want two hides. At the back of the rack is a 4" wide piece of flexwatt tape for heat. It covers about 1/3 of the bottom of the tub.

The 15qt tub looks good I'd say wait to put her in the 28qt tub until she is around 500-700g

Re: switching from tank to tub!

ok cooll.. and i just ordered a 600g scale so i guess when she outweighs that ill switcher her over.. perfect... and also, ive heard alot that the half log hides arent that great.. i added some moss around the entrance and also inside to make it feel more secure, do you think itd be a good idea to just get a new one. like one of those rectangular plastic ones it seems everyone has?

bc this is my first snake and i thought the log would be good for shedding purposes

For hides in my tub i just cut an opening in a wax bowl. They are reusable and that's what was in the basement lol. I have heard of people just using crumpled up paper for hides, snakes really don't care what it looks like as long as it makes them feel secure.
