By definition an animal that is het (Heterozygous Recessive) is visually no different from a normal animal.

Some people say that there are some "markers" that may help Identify Het Pieds, but there is no way to tell for sure just by looking at the snake. You need to either know what the parents were, or breed it to a visual (or another het) pied.

What % het is this Bp being sold as? (50%, 66%, or 100% het)

For one thing I'd check over the animal for mites. Also I'm not sure if you have an established collection already but proper quarantine is a must if you do. Is this a Craiglist ad? If so be careful with the whole het thing unless it comes with paperwork from a reputable breeder. Good luck.

If I have genetics right, you'd have to pair with a het piebald or a visual pied to prove him/her out

    No

Here are the only ways to produce a visual pied from a het pied (if this one even is a het)
