    Avengers - 3D or not?

This is not a thread about whether or not 3D movies are good. I'm personally of the opinion that 3D works well for some movies, and not for others.

I want opinions from people who enjoy 3D movies.

Do you think it's better to see The Avengers in 3D, or to see it in "regular"?

Re: Avengers - 3D or not?

I'm not a big fan of 3-D movies...they just don't do anything for me. HOWever...Avengers was GREAT and they did a really good job with the 3-D. I think anyone would enjoy the movie in either version, but if you don't mind the extra for 3-D, then go for it.

Absolutely 3D, it was great. I'm usually annoyed by the 3D stuff because I wear regular glasses and the 3D glasses have to go over them and it can be uncomfortable, but in this case I think it was well worth it.

I'm gonna say no to 3D. The only reason I saw it in 3D was because it was the only none sold out show.

The movie was not filmed in 3D. The 3D was an after thought just like almost every other 3D.

There have only been a handful of movies that were meant for 3D. Most of them being animated. Avatar sets the standard for me. And Avengers doesn't even light a flame compared to that. At no point did feel like something was coming out of the screen at me.

So IMO just stick to 2D. You're not missing anything.

The 3D was great. I'd say worth it.

I haven't seen it yet, but I did watch John Carter in 3D @ IMAX and it was great. The brief Avengers preview also looked amazing in 3D.
