Moving a BP Between US/Canada
I reside in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I am going to Ohio this weekend and I am planning on visiting a few stores while I am visiting
I will be buying a VE-300 x2 thermostat and some 4" Flexwatt
Possibly some other tools that I shouldn't have any problems bringing over
However
If a Ball Python catches my eye and I buy it, will I have any issues trying to bring it over the border?
Thanks xD
My Balls!

1.0 Black Pastel
1.0 Spider
0.1 Pastel

Re: Moving a BP Between US/Canada
Yes...You have to have the proper paper work and permits to take a snake from one country to the other.

You would require CITIES paperwork and that can take weeks to get. It's not really worth it if you're just visiting.

I live in Ohio but haven't been able to find any good stores. If you don't mind what are they called and where at? That would be a great help to me.
Thanks Scott

I dont know of any stores in Ohio yet, I was hoping to find some while I was there, hahaha
I will let you know if I do find one though
Anyways if there isn't one in Ohio i'll have to stop in another state to find my thermostat and flexwatt
I don't think I'll bother bringing over anything then >.>
How about shipping a snake between Canada and the US via postal services like UPS?

We are already fighting to keep our rights to even be allowed to own reptiles...Suggesting people to break laws and illegally transport reptiles between Countries isn't going to help the cause!

You need the proper permits to transport animals between Countries no matter how it's done.
There is no shortage of Ball breeders in Canada...

Seriously? We're fighting just to keep them right now! If you don't want yours - well sell them now, because if we have people just traipsing over the border willy nilly, its going to cause an even bigger problem than we already have.

I agree - I see plenty of people on here posting from Canada. There shouldn't be any need to go out of Canada to find what you want. Though there are some large breeders here that do have their CITES and consistently ship out of the US. I know Justin Kolbylka and I think Ben Siegel Reptiles have their CITES - there are probably many more.

I was being Sarcastic
I just got off the phone with Canadian Customs (local Port), they were dumbfounded
I have to go to the US tomorrow and pick up my son from Day Care I will ask a friend at US Customs,
From what CBSA told me if you own the Animal then it's fine, if you are importing it for sale you have to declare the value.
The problem comes when you enter the US with a BP from Canada
