Re: BP Rubbed His Nose Raw?!
Oh dear, I'd get some neosporin (the one with no painkillers) on that to prevent an infection. How's your husbandry? Temps? Humidity?
He might have rubbed it raw trying to escape because of something he didn't like in the cage. Or he could be overactive in searching for a female.
I'm sure someone else will come along with their two cents on this.
Watch and wait; a hapless creature has wandered in wake of my growing hunger. My oh my, don't you look tasty? Hey traveler, what do you know of wolves?
All that's scaly and reptilian, all that's furry and mammalian, all that swims in the sea, all that flies in the sky--I love each and every one of these precious creatures.

Husbandry's spot on. Temps are proper and hooked up to a thermostat. He is in the habitat that he's lived well in for the past 2 years ( 2 hides, water bowl, the works).
So maybe he rubbed it raw trying to start his shed? Or injured it during feed? He is an aggressive feeder and misses his prey sometime, lol.
I will get him a bit of neosporin, for sure.

Re: BP Rubbed His Nose Raw?!
I would be a little nervous putting neosporin on his nose because he may inhail it when he breathes but that is just my opinion!

Neosporine is too thick and viscous. It doesnt let the wound breath. Silver Sulfadiazine is a cream created for burn injuries. Plus, it has an antibiotic attribute to it. It has many success stories for things like scale rot, heat pad burns etc... Heres the poduct link, I highly recommend this stuff. You can get smaller containers of it for cheaper too. Youll have to look around though.
