    Not sure I understand...
So, I have looked at how much a wolf spider is from a breeder just b/c I am curious and they're $88 from a breeder online!? It's labeled as "rare", which is dumb to me because they are one of the most common spiders to find out and about... I'm so confused...

The cheapest pack of slings (6) I can find from a breeder are $47...

Any ideas of why they are so expensive?

It could be because of a specific species.
It could be because they're captive bred.
Without asking the breeder, you won't really know.

I can go outside and find a cat off the street for free, but I'd rather pay the extra money to make sure that I'm getting a typically healthier and well started one instead.
Or in the case of inverts.... I could go catch a jumping spider, but the pet store nearby sells them for 30$. I don't have to go digging around in bushes.

I've never priced any such things, but in general, people can (& often do) charge whatever they figure they can get away with. There's time, effort & costs involved to raise any sort of creature, & no one's forcing you to buy from them. You could try running a (free?) 'want ad' for a wolf spider- see if anyone has one they want to get out of their house. But how many people know a wolf spider when they see one? But someone might- you could offer a price for a healthy one- try $10 or $15? And you could put a pic or link to a pic of one in your ad, to be sure they know what you're wanting.

Of course, many people wanting a spider out of their house might also want you to come & get it- Never trust people to do that alone- it could be a ruse- go with a parent or BIG brother!
