Re: Do carpets usually hide?
My carpets are almost always hiding during the day but they're usually perching after dark and they get pretty active when they're hungry. One of my jungles I never see out of her hides even though she moves back and forth between the three. She's very shy but then again she's only been with me for a couple of months.
Re: Do carpets usually hide?
That sounds like a simple and stress free method. i'll try it out.
Thanks for the help!
Re: Do carpets usually hide?
My carpets rarely hide. My Zebra is around 1.5 years old and my Jungle Jag is around 2. The Zebra NEVER hides - usually curls up on a log or branch during the day, and at night he's all over the cage climbing and stalking. My Jungle Jag occasionally ises her hide on the ground, but almost never. During the day she sits on top of one of the plants or branches, and she spends almost all night hanging from something in her stalking position. She just got moved to a new enclosure though, so for now she's kind of hiding in the plants. I've never seen my Zebra on the ground, and the JJ is off the ground 99% of the time. Neither likes to hang out in the water bowl. I'd consider my Carpets to be totally arboreal. They both spend less time on the ground than my Green Tree Python.
