I've been a lurker for years finally started interacting with the community.
There is no ball python dictionary.
I noticed the definition of ringer is not always consistent. Sometimes I think they should call it a paradox.
As definitions go it seems to be subjective.
I keep using the gold blush Mojave as an example. It seems that once you breed into your stock it might start loosing some of the gold blush attributes. Called leaning toward the mean.
But it would still be considered a line correct?

Let's see :P. Their line can refer to either their selective breeding, such as the goldblush mojaves or the lemon pastels/graziani pastels. Their line could also refer to the snake that they imported such as the amir line pastel aka the citrus pastel. So yes to both :gj:.

A ringer is the orangey coloration that creeps up from the belly. Sometimes the ringer is barely noticeable because it junks up the pattern just a tiny bit, and you can see some odd coloration. Sometimes it creeps up really high, and you can see white coming up from the belly! Dave Green is working with "extreme ringer" champagnes that are pretty much half champ and half white LOL.

The paradox is referring to the instance where you can see traits of another morph or normal coloration/pattern in the pattern of a morph or normal. For example, pacific coast reptiles has a het ultramel male that looks like a normal ball python, except some parts of the pattern are ultramel colored :gj:. Albinos will sometimes have paradox spots where a section looks normal.

    Here's a ringer:

There are more extreme versions and slightly more subtle ones :gj:. There's a terminology sticky around this forum somewhere.... Perhaps it should be updated with pictures or something.

    I work with OB http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...7-Orange-Belly

Does it work out like this.
Ultra ivory x normal will produce YB, OB, Graphite, ivory and ultra ivory?
if I take one of the graphites x normal produce only Orangebellies?
Just wondering. It's a weird gene. Haven't commuted to it yet. But i like it.

Non-specific line of yb. (Breeder mentioned she came from amir line ivory, but that ivory was not directly from Amir himself so I don't hold much weight on that)

Shop for quality, always! :D I paid $135 for her.
