    Re: Where to buy Burmese Pythons
    I just actually picked up a nice male albino at NERD and couldn't be happier with how helpful they were. Fortunately I'm within driving distance, but they do ship. Here is a link http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ava...cat.php?cat=39

    Bob isn't as much into burms as retics. Same with Mike Wilbanks. More people seem to prefer retics...

    Find out when there's a reptile expo in your area. More often than not, people selling burms are there, and if they don't have the morph you want you can ask them if they know any breeders that do have them.

    Make sure they are legal to keep in your state, my brother had a baby mailed to him and as soon as it got into our state it was sent back to the shipper and a notice with NYS animal law was mailed to him instead. Best bet if it is illegal just get it at a show and keep it hush hush.

    Prohibited Snakes in the state of NY:

    * All venomous species as determined by the DEC
    * Burmese Python (Python m. bivittatus)
    * Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus)
    * African Rock Python (Python sabae)
    * Green Anaconda (Eunectes maurinus)
    * Yellow Anaconda (Eunectes notaeus)
    * Australian Amethystine Python (Morelia amethistina and Morelia kinghorni)
    * Indian Python (Python molurus)

    Look up your local state laws if your having it shipped just in case.
