How to tell the difference between a phantom and a normal?
I just recently heard about phantoms, and after seeing what they can create, I ran off to kingsnake to get a price gauge on how much it would cost to acquire one. While I've seen some phantoms on the b-p forums that have a decent contrast, nearly all of the ones I saw for sale were normals. I then ran off to worldofballpythons, and looking at their phantom pics, I'm having a hard time telling the difference.
Are there any indications to a phantom, so that one doesn't get ripped off and sold an extremely expensive normal? Because outside of breeding it, I have my doubts.

phantoms look much different from normals. did you mean Mojave? phantoms look a lot like mojaves. even if I list what to look for, mistakes can still happen. best bet is buy one from someone you trust, I wouldn't buy one from a breeder who hasn't produced purple passions with their phantom yet. I just sold a male phantom local and I gave the buyer a photo I.D. something you might want to consider. that breeding was my phantom to a normal.

your post is a good one as you got to be careful when purchasing a phantom or mystic. don
