Personally, I hope these revisions will put an end to the "bad behavior" by those untrained & unqualified animals on flights (as ESA's) that endangered staff & other passengers. There was & is no excuse for that: we all favor having the freedoms to do as we want, and it would be wonderful if we could just fly with our pets at our sides, but never does that mean we should be free to endanger others, as in allowing our unruly pets where they don't belong- on commercial airline flights. The fault lies not with the pets- their fear of confinement on a plane with lots of strangers & all sorts of unfamiliar noise is a recipe for disaster from even well-socialized pets, & it's not fair to subject other people on the flight (who may have serious allergies or phobias, & no expectation of being confined with your pet on such a flight). It's not fair to the pets either- dogs have very sensitive hearing & may panic and lash out at those nearby from the unfamiliar sounds of the plane. I've seen that happen, it just wasn't on a plane, & wasn't at all the dog's fault.

No joke, they've actually busted guys  on (or before or after) flights with snakes smuggled in their pants! What were they even thinking?

If so many people weren't so phobic about snakes, they'd be the BEST pets to fly with, since they're deaf, shy & quiet, not to mention easy to hide.
