    Ovy? Building? Ridge Back?
This year I'm watching my girls like a hawk and I'm determined not to miss an ovy, as I missed every single one last year. I feel that this 2300g girl is approaching ovulation?
First, when do they get ridge back? She hasn't eaten in two months, and her spine is already so prominent. I'm not sure if this could be due to eggs? It seems unusual, being a big girl, that her spine would be sticking out after only two months.

Do these pictures look indicative of anything? I've noticed she's looking a little round in the middle. Or is it my imagination?

She looks an awful lot like my big girl and I'm almost certain she's gravid. Is she staying on the heat? I think they get ridge back as they get closer to laying. Don't quote the noob on that, though ;)

You're right, I just read that on Markus Jayne. She's still on the cool side most the time, which would indicate she has not ovulated yet. Ridge back occurs after they ovulate and becomes more prominent as they get closer to laying.. Her last shed was 12/14, so I'm guessing she hasn't ovulated yet and is still building. I don't think I missed an Ovy these past couple weeks.

She looks like she has a nice build going and may not be very far from ovulating. My guess would be less than a week given how ballooned she is looking. Pretty exciting stuff and can't wait to see the Ovy pics when she goes.

Cool, I certainly hope you're right! I can't wait to see an Ovy.

Here's some pics taken this afternoon. To me, she looks even bigger than before.

Bonus pic! I thought maybe this girl wouldn't go this year, but I caught her laying on her side this afternoon, and she's looking pretty plump.
