    mobile site?
I was thinking that maybe a mobile edition of the website would be a good addition for people who do not have access to a computer during work or are bored but away from there computer.
I think it could possibly bring more people to the site during the day. I would be more than willing to help and set some stuff up if this is considered.
    Thanks,
    Josh

I'm on my iPhone typing this out :D it is very iPhone friendly...

A mobile theme has been on my "to do" list for quite a bit now... I should probably make that happen!

unfortunately the blackberry storm with verizon is awfully slow. the 1xEV network crap isn't all that great all the graphics and stuff kills the speed.

Maybe a switch to the Iphone is necessary ;).

this is a really good example of what im talking bout.

    regular site: http://crackberry.com/

    mobile site: http://m.crackberry.com/

Something like this would be great. it has all the great features of the regular site just without all the flashy graphics and stuff that phones cant handle all that great.

I've typed posts on here with my Ipod Touch, but zooming in and out to type and read stuff can get annoying. So, a mobile site would be appreciated.

hmm..... if you don't mind me asking what blackberry do you have?

What im trying to say is that it would be convenient to have a nice simple site people can look at and not have all the extra stuff on the page slowing things down.

if the site works great on your phone than by all means continue using the regular site.

    Blackberry 8900

Only thing I don't like is when I reply to threads, it displays my reply funny when I'm typing it.

the curve is a pretty solid phone all around. the storm was rushed into production and they released it with a ton of bugs, it was a big bust for RIM. I'm thinking about upgrading to a blackberry tour when it comes out or the Iphone. but this isn't a phone forum so ill leave it at that.

    So, any progress here?

I came across an iphone app called tapatalk. It's $3.99 but supposedly works great. I guess the best part is that it's free for the forum owners to set-up, and it's vbulletin friendly.

Just go to www.tapatalk.com to check it out.

I have a LG Voyager from Verizon, and have gone on this site several times.

It's not too slow, I think mainly the slow part is Verizon. I don't use the optimized web, I haven't tried it, it might make the website load faster.

That would be cool to have this site go mobile!

    Re: mobile site?
I just upgraded from the Curve to the Tour (love the Tour btw) but I do notice some differences. This site was easier to view from the curve. With the Tour, I need to zoom more and also scroll more. Neither phone was great when trying to respond. I usually leave posting for at home.

A mobile site woud be great, my Samsung Rogue seems to handle this fairly well though. It's just pokey but I think that is my bad reception more than anything.

I browse the site on my Storm, not too bad. I never log in or post on it as I dont really do the phone keyboard to well. Mostly just check out pics while I'm waiting on some work stuff.

Hey guys - sorry about my delayed response in all this.

It seems that a mobile theme for BP.net is a pretty popular request, and I'm certainly hoping I can find an opportunity to install and test out a new mobile version in the upcoming weeks.

Awesome! I view this site via my LG NnV Touch a lot. Can't wait to see how much smoother it will run via a mobile site.

If your cell or ipod supports java apps just go to http://www.opera.com/mini/

opera mini is a excelent mobile web browser. Ive been using it for a few years now. It lets you see the web as you would on a normal PC or you can change the settings to a mobile view. I never use my carriers web browser anymore. It stinks compared to opera mini.
