Mazuri Hamster/Gerbil for mice and rats???
My local store has been out of Mazuri blocks for mice/rats for over a week now! Needing to get some blocks for my rodents, I picked up a small bag of Mazuri Hamster/gerbil blocks. Will this be alright for my mice and soon to come rats until the darn store gets the right stuff back in?

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered...I'm sleepy from a long day and not in the right mind-set to search. :)

    Thanks.

I would think it is fine for mice...I dont think I would want to keep rats on it any longer than you have to.
    What are the nutritional values?

Here's the product stats from the Mazuri site.

    Rat/Mouse:

    and the Hamster/Gerbil:

I would think they'd be okay, at least for a little while.

Ah, thanks for those info sheets. :) (and that's a cool avatar, Shadera)

I only intend to use it until the store gets back in gear and orders all the stuff they've run out of. Apparently, the new manager is a flake as well as a jumpy, paranoid git. (long story short, he follows me around indirectly just because I don't have a car and have to shop with a backpack.)

Anyway, thanks for the replies. :)

Protein is a bit high, but as a back up, I'd use it in a pinch.

Thanks! That's a little broadwing hawk chick I rehabbed last year.

Lucky! I adore hawks and other raptors... :)

    Thanks, all.
