Found something in Aspen's enclosure...
So, I didn't know that jumping spiders aren't able to sink their fangs into a roly-poly and I put one in about a week ago, and it was probably a few mm big, but now it's about five times the size that it was before.... I've never seen one that big!
I ended up keeping it in another container to see how big I can get it... it's huge already, bigger than Aspen and she's full-grown(10mm)!!

Roly polies are actually so difficult to eat that the Dysdera genus has evolved enormous chelicerae just to be able to prey on them. This video's a little melodramatic but:

They remind me of tiny armadillos- :D -another creature that's well-protected.

There's actually a rolypoly genus called Armadillidium so named because they can roll into a perfect ball just like an armadillo :D
