    Dubia vs. Crickets
Alright, I know that there is a danger of your crickets eating your T when it is molting and killing it. I know the nutritional value of Dubia's are greater than crickets and they smell less. I'm trying to convince my wife to let me start breeding our own roaches for our T's. The only concern she really has is this, will the Dubia eat the T when it is molting?

I know they can burrow, but what if I put a roach in and it burrows, then the T goes into a molt. If the roach comes out will it be a danger to my T?

Any input you give that I can use to convince my wife would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've never had any issues with my t's and uneaten roaches, but I feed almost all of my t's with tongs even my 6''+ P. Regalis females. Sometimes they'll bury themselves in the substrate and will come out and get eaten when the lights go out. I've fed a t a roach before then molted the same night and didn't have any problems with the roach bothering her. I've been raising dubia's for over a year now and would never go back to feeding crickets, one adult dubia is equal to about 10 crickets and they don't stink which is a huge plus.

Awesome, thanks! Hopefully I can use what you posted to help give my wife that "push" into breeding roaches.
