    Cage Destroyed Equals Trip Outdoors.
Everything lined up for the first Sniper deck rail shots of 2020.

He had his first meal of 2020 March 13th, and today was waste elimination day. In addition, it was ruin the cage day. Sniper managed to move everything in his cage, submerge in his water bowl enough to drain it all over the cage floor. He also began pushing which led me to believe it is officially "Boa weather" here in MN. We had a 70 degree day today and I figured I'd get the boy out after I cleaned up and put him back.

Then we made it out into the sunny evening weather. He's still semi dark here, but wow! He looks good and he grew again after not eating from October until mid March.

He's a lean, male boa constrictor, but he's gotten longer after another winter. He'll be 8 years old the end of June.

I was able to get photos of him going and coming.

He was pretty busy and getting a close up shot was a bit difficult.

I'm obviously biased because he's my animal, however I believe if you are raising a boa and are doing things properly, it will look like this.

There isn't an ounce of fat on this boy and I plan to keep it that way. It was really refreshing to be able to concentrate on this boy without worrying about the retic I used to keep.

BTW the breeder I gave the retic to, told be he was still very aggressive and challenging.
I made a good choice rehoming him.

Sniper,,,, Welcome to the deck rail 2020!

Absolutely stunning Boa! As a semi new Boa owner (almost at 2 years of age and still fits in the palm of one hand), it's hard for me to imagine him getting to the size of yours. Has Sniper been pretty docile over the 8 years you've had him? How often do you take him out and handle?

Very docile. I’m guessing he gets out a couple to a few times a month in the summer.

If it’s nice and I’m having happy hour on the deck I’ll get one of the snakes out for a spin.

If they relax on the rail I’ll keep them out for an hour or so.
