    Questions about spotnose

I was wondering if it is common for normal ball pythons to end up with yellow spots on the tips of their faces. I ask because I have 2 het pied boys that each have 2 spots on either side of their noses, and the "prints" on the tops of their heads are very noticeable. All the babies from their father (visual pied) have noticeable markings on their heads, but only these two boys have the yellow spots on their noses.

Do all spotnose bps have the one yellow spit right at the tip of their noses, or does spotnose just refer to spots anywhere along the nose and lip?

I'll post pics of these boys once I get to my computer a little later tonight.

    Thanks

Yes the spots on the sides of the upper jaw are very common in Balls…

No not all Spotnose have the Spot on the nose…That’s night the only thing to look for with them though…They also have a weird head pattern and a very aberrant body pattern.

The faint head stamp on your animal is pretty neat, but I would say no on being a spotnose. Along with what coldbloodaddict was saying about the head and body pattern I've noticed a definite color difference too. Instead of the browns on a normal, spotnoses seem to be more of a gold-khaki color and the black on a spotnose is JET black with really no blushing to speak of. Here are my two spotnoses for comparison.

I definitely appreciate the pictures of the spotnoses. I've been searching and searching, but keep coming across morph-crosses, or videos without really good detail. I'm in the process of selling 4 het pied boys, but these two were unique to the others, and I really wanted to find out more before I potentially regretted getting rid of them =P
