Foil under UTH question
Hi, I'm struggling to find a clear answer for this on google.
Is it okay to place foil under my UTH to help reflect more heat to the tank, or is this a ventilation issue?
I'm going to be upgrading my BP to a larger tank and being in Canada, I'm trying to conserve as much heat as possible.
I'll be using a heat lamp(dial controlled) as well as my UTH with a thermostat.
Already planning to buy 1/2 in thick foam insulation board to cover 3 sides + most of the top. Any other suggestions are absolutely welcome!

I'd wouldn't use foil, not because it would cause a ventilation issue, but because of my concern that it may short out my heat mat and cause a fire.

Sorry for the late reply!
Thanks very much for the answers and advice! Ceramic tiles sounds like a fantastic idea, I'll definitely pick some of those up! Appreciate the help
