    How Did Your Proposal Go?

ok, i was just inspired by FollowTheSun's marriage proposal thread and we're still hot on the heels of Valentine's Day and the Bachelor is on tonight, so i would LOVE to hear about your marriage proposal! did u propose to someone? how did u do it? did someone propose to you? how did they do it? what was the setup? what was the answer?!

share all your lovey-dovey proposals please.

Edit: my proposal would have to be on the jumbotron at a football game! plz take note!

Re: How Did Your Proposal Go?

On one of our first dates I took my wife to Red Lobster. While eating I jokingly told her that I would marry the first woman that figured out how to make those cheesy biscuits. Six months later she came over for dinner and sure enough she had a tray of freshly made cheesy biscuits. I already had the ring because it was kind of a family heirloom (stones from my grandmother's ring) so I proposed that night. That was 17 years ago this April.

Re: How Did Your Proposal Go?

My wife and I have special dates memorized. When we got together, our first kiss, the day we moved in together, ect ect. One evening I asked her to tell me all the dates cuz I "forgot" some. When she finished I said "what about December 9th?" She was like a deer in the headlights thinking she forgot what happened that day (not realizing that was that days date). So she softly asked me what happened that day almost as if she were embarrassed for forgetting. I got down on both knees (because one is too cliche lol) and said " it's the day I asked you to marry me" with the ring in my hand. She was so blindsided that she just looked at me and said "WHAT?!" and I asked if that was her answer! Thankfully it was yes and this July we will be married 5 years.

I proposed to my wife when she got off the plane in the ATL airport on her way in from her Dad's in Iowa. Had a couple friends there to witness and take pictures.

you should ask her about December 9th again. when she replies "your marriage proposal", you should say what else? and then eventually say "December 9th is also when we got our 2nd snake!" or 3rd or 4th...

No big sign. But once the crowd saw me go down on the knee they knew what was up. She said yes and cried and celebratory hijinks ensued.
