do you know by chance where in Venezuela they’re supposed to be tied to? i was curious because i was wondering if their dwarfism was comparable to the “insular dwarfism” of Burms, etc or if this was for some other thing - been meaning to research the same thing re: Nicaragua locality red tails

They aren't really a dwarf form of BCC/BC/True Red Tail. They just don't get quite as large as other localities of BCC/BC/True Red Tails on average. As for Nicaraguan Boas, they aren't considered red tails and are a completely different species, Boa imperator. Though other species/subspecies of boas can have some degree of redness to their tails only Boa constrictor/Boa constrictor constrictor are considered True Red Tails.

this sounds the same as P. b. progschai - at present both mainland and dwarf island burms are considered to be the same species and are the subject of “insular dwarfism” or you could say, “locality dwarfism” i.e. that it is because the Java, Bali, Sulawesi, etc islands are so small, with decreased access to prey stock, which caused this “dwarfism” rather than “genetic dwarfism” or a different species being temporarily categorized under X species - i may have been confusing in my last post my apologies

Feliz is doing great. Had him out for a bit today and realized I hadn't taken pics in a while.

Here are some pics of him going back into his enclosure.

Feliz is doing great. He's on medium rats every 3 weeks. He gained some weight initially when I switched him to medium rats, but seems to have leveled off around 1.4-1.5kg. Not sure he'll grow much more, but we will see.

He's handsome as ever and such a sweetie.

Super interesting to have a frame of reference for his size as a "dwarf" BCC. Feliz is around 6 years old now, right? My BCI trio, though also male and with smaller localities in the mix, are all in the 1.8-2kg range now.

Feliz will be 6 in September.

Yeah, it is really interesting. Not too many of the Venezuelan Dwarf BC's, but many dwarf BI's.
