Re: First ball python in a long time

I was actually just at the last one in Manchester, got there late so didn't have much time to pick something out and didn't want to rush into making a decision but now that I know what I'm looking for (spinner fire) Il most likely go again! Unless I can find one more local, but that's a long shot!

I was getting interested then until I realised you were talking Manchester in US not the UK

    Pastel enchi, not jungle.

They could be talking about 'Jungle Woma'. I'm actually working with that gene, it's sort of a cross between a pastel / enchi / leopard. It gives the snake more yellow and breaks up and reduces the pattern. It's a co-dominant gene and there's a super form.

    Jungle Woma:

The super form is called a 'Puzzleback', it's Super Jungle Woma like the two snakes below. I'm actually trying to work this gene into some pied combos. Not many people are working with this gene or even know about it. It will be super difficult to know if you have it or not in a pied since the pied gene breaks up the pattern, will probably have to work with two super hets to be sure. Will have to prove out the super hets to make sure they are supers, then cross them to make the Super Jungle Woma pied, then cross with a normal pied to get Jungle Woma pied. Will probably take me 10 years to get there LOL.

Pastel was known as Pastel Jungle back in the day when NERD first proved it genetic. It could simply be a reference to that history. Of course, and especially with Kevin and NERD, anything is fair game with morph naming.

lol He is a trip. He is all over the place in his vids. He makes stuff up on the spot. I've never seen anyone pack so many genes into one animal. Some of them are so washed out looking I have no clue how visual identity is even possible. lol

Wait, did you buy this animal from directly from NERD? I've been watching this thread and the snake looks (in my opinion) to be a very spotted enchi pastel, but if it's from Kevin and he specifically labeled it "pastel enchi jungle thing?" I would definitely be more inclined to think there's more to it than just pastel and enchi.

Even Kevin doesn't know what's in most of the animals he produces, he throws so many genes in there it's practically impossible to tell with certainty lol. If I ever bought an animal from him breeding it would be a must, I'd just be too curious.

Re: First ball python in a long time

From zoo creatures which is his pet store, so I'm assuming he had his hands on it at some point and every other enchi pastel I've seen looks nothing like him, even the guy working there knew their was something different about him and was trying to avoid selling him, not sure what to really breed him with was thinking spinner fire but the spider gene scares me....now thinking dragonfly or some kind of leopard pastel. Just want something to bring the most out of him

My advice would be breed it to what you like but i would probably include a single gene enchi, pastel, and a normal. Somewhere in there you will probably figure out what is up. No need to fear spider issues, but not going there is fine too.
