Smile Smiley Ball Pythons / Emoji Ball Pythons

    Hello everybody,

Some years ago there was a huge hype about the "Smiley Ball Python" by Justin Kobylka.
Since that time I have seen just a few further "Smiley" or "Emoji Balls" and found just a handful of photos in the internet.
Due to your experience: How frequent are such Ball Pythons with smileys? Are they something usual or are they still quite rare?
And did you note any tendency of any female or male to produce such smileys?
I am asking cause this season I paired a Piebald male to a recently acquired het Piebald female and got one baby with one smiley and another one with two smileys.

    Thanks, best wishes,
    Kriton

beautiful Pieds! those are very bold emoji's! congrats!

i think it seems more rare and random to me. u can pop out a Pied w/ a smilee and never hatch another one. that said my breeder friend at Porter's Pythons aka BigFish1975 has a his mascot Elvira, a Pied w/ a jackolatern. last year she produced a boy w/ another jackolatern pattern and another emoji this year.

also i got one this year. not an impressive face but i guess the glum, not impressed face is fitting lol.

    do u see it?

Well, maybe I need to add that the third piebald sibling of this clutch doesn't show a perfect smiley, but has one pattern which nearly resulted in a smiley ...

    [IMG][/IMG]

... and another one which resembles an emoji wearing sunglasses:

    [IMG][/IMG]

The fourth piebald sibling doesn't have show smiley, but one pattern, too, that consists of two diminute "eyes" and a "mouth":

    [IMG][/IMG]

So out of four piebald siblings from a single clutch there hatched two snakes with clear smileys, another one with a "sunglass smiley" and the fourth with at least the tendency to a smiley.
Can this really happen just by chance? Couldn't it indicate a certain tendency for such patterns at least?
    Didn't anyone make similar experiences?

u should should them back and continue to prove it out/breed it out. and if u are up for the challenge, add Albino/Lavender Albino to flip the colors and see if the emjois still show up.

I definitively will breed them back and see what happens. I think the chance to get a kind of smiley strain isn't very high, but anyway I am curious enough to try.
