Snake seems to want another rat soon after feeding. Normal?

My guy comes to the window on feeding day. I usually wipe the rat on an empty water dish and set it next to his hide. Within seconds he comes running out to the water dish. I use this so he doesn’t get a mouthful of substrate. Anyways I’ve noticed especially the last few feedings. He eats his prey and then I’ll walk down about an hour or so after and he’s like waiting at the window for me to feed him again it seems? I feed the typical 10-15% of body weight. Just fed him a rat pup weighing in at 27 grams. He weighs 237 grams as of last week. Guess what? He’s at the window again 😂 just at aggressive feeder I guess? I do have some bigger pups to feed but I didn’t want to waste these smaller ones. Still it’s like a little over 11% of his weight.

Completely normal, & btw, don't "fall for it". Snakes can stay in "feed mode" for anywhere from hours to a day or two after feeding. It DOES NOT mean their meal wasn't enough- it's just like when we over-eat, just because it's so good & our stomach is a little slow to signal the brain that we're actually stuffed to the gills. Don't tell me you've never stuffed in a dessert that you know you shouldn't have, or another helping of pizza. Same thing-

I've stayed in "feed mode" a time or two myself.
