    How old is my boa?

I have a male Nicaraguan red-tail who is exactly 2 feet long. When I got him, 8 November 2019, I was not given his age. How would I be able to tell his approximate age?

Cannot tell the age of a snake unless you have them when they are born or hatched, because they all grow at different rates -a snake's metabolism depends on the temperatures & amount of food available, as well as individual health, & even the size of neonate or hatchling snakes is variable within a range for each species. A typical neonate boa is around 18" so I'd say your snake is about a year old. "Baby" snakes don't grow very fast, since their food is generally young & very digestible rodents, but as they grow, so does the size & "food value" of their prey, so you'll see more growth later on.
