Cut at day 60 babies look very small, without colour and behind

Hello guys, so I have this clutch incubated at 30,5 C or 87 F. Eggs dimpled a bit in the last week but not too much. At day 60 I got worried that something wrong might have happened so I cut 2 of them. Babies look very small and without any colour. Pairing was a male bamboo lesser to a pastel female. Even if let's say they would go out in like 70 days...they still look incredibly small to me. Thank you for your patiance!

I incubate around 87 degrees and it typically takes anywhere from 63 to 65 days minimum to pip. I normally never cut before I see a pip and would suggest the same for you in the future. If you're incubating at lower temps or your thermometer isn't accurate, you'll have variation in the time. That said, what I see doesn't look too bad.

Color is the last thing to come in and if you have Pastel and Bamboo either of those or both as a combo start out fairly light. As far as size, either you have giant hands or those are pretty small eggs to begin with. As long as they begin to feed there's a chance they'll be fine. You may have to start out with smaller prey items. When people hatch twins, they are often only the weight of 1 hatchling cumulatively, so often they are between 25 and 35 grams and from what I have seen on here, most survive. I would leave them be and don't cut any others. Try not to keep opening the egg so as not to introduce bacteria and watch for mold. Best of luck.

You are right. My hands are big and the eggs are quite small, let's say...a little bit larger than a chicken egg. (The mother was a first time even if she is over 5 years and stands at 2600 grams empty).
"it typically takes anywhere from 63 to 65" - so...it means that I was panicked for nothing and it will take another 5-10 days before they would normally go out which is such great news.
"You may have to start out with smaller prey items" - I breed my own, both mice and rats so feeding any size will not be a problem.
"I would leave them be and don't cut any others" - I literally s**t my pants so the rest 4 will just come out when they desire.
"Try not to keep opening the egg" - only watch them through the box daily to check on them. The picture was taken 3 days ago when they were cut. I am not cutting any larger and I am surely not messing with them. I am thankfull they are alive still.

Big thank you for the encouragement words.

I incubate at 89-90 and my babies usually pip around day 51 and everyone leaves the egg around day 54

    My opinion:
87 is on the lower side. Not a bad thing but they'll take a little longer to incubate.
I don't think you did anything wrong by cutting when you did.

First 4 out at day 72. Unfortunately, big problems with two of them (kinks + neurological problems). We hit this beautiful baby that's currently on his wet towels with his brothers for a while. The other clutch in the same incubator got out at 61 days, so it wasn't the temperature. Maybe this clutch was just...bad.

https://ibb.co/ph9t2bN ( this one seems fine)
https://ibb.co/sFTzz9T ( neurological problems + kink at the end of the tail)
https://ibb.co/MgZLLwX ( this is the second cluch, first head out at day 61)

Just curious: What were the parents for the ones with the kinks and neuro issues?

the clutch with the problems comes from a Bamboo Lesser Male x Pastel Female.
