Re: First shed on this hatchling, Pastel Enchi girl
I remember when I saw the first regular Enchi......and I thought to myself "So what? It doesn't look all that different from a normal BP, just bit more gold"
Then I realized later on what power that gene holds when you start crossing it to other morphs. I have a true appreciation for Enchi now and what it is capable of.
The story behind it is kind of neat as well.....Lars Brandell got a few farm animals from Ghana in a bag and discovered that two of them were nearly identical and something was "off" about them. He ended up breeding them in Sweden in 2002 and proved them to be a dominant gene.
So your snake made it's way from southwest Ghana, to Sweden, to the US, and then to you in some form or another.
I love reading the history of morphs!
Cool fact: "Enchi" is the name of a small town in Ghana which your snake was named after.

....I had to Google the college there because the town won't show up on Google.
It is currently 77F there with 96% humidity......safe to say the wild BP's are having no trouble shedding

That is so fascinating, thank you !!!
I've come across many people "new" to morphs, that think they are somehow "man made". I guess once you realize just HOW MANY there are, it is hard to understand that they ALL originated from the wild, in some form or another.
It still boggles my mind as well.
