    My trip to NERD!

Hello friends! It’s been ages since I’ve popped in but miss everybody and hope you all are healthy and safe in this time of covid. <3

Since we’re all sequestered in our homes, I thought it would be fun to share snapshots of my recent trip to NERD. My precious hubby asked me what I wanted for my anniversary and I said what any woman would say – a trip to Plaistow NH to hold a Boelen’s Python.

    So off we went!

    Monitors:

    Caimans:

    Retics:

    Leusistic King Cobra:

    Beaded Lizard:

    Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boa:

    Mangrove:

<- this one tagged our host, Jake. He handled it like a pro.

The pièce de résistance – Boelens Python:

We had a spectacular time. The animals were incredible. The monitors were friendly and so well socialized. If any of you are in the monitor market, I highly recommend NERD’s as they work with them a ton. Gorgeous retics. But it was hard to beat the Amazon Basin ETBs and the Boelens. They really take your breath away!

    Cool pics! Thanks for sharing!

Did they happen to show you the unusually large ball python nick-named 'Mega-Beast' that Kevin got in a trade a while back? I didn't see him last time I was there.

Nope, no BPs of any kind on my tour. I was in it for the more exotic of his collection.

That's pretty sweet. Were the people nice? I've seen a couple videos and I'm not sure what to think about them. Their animals are awesome (and expensive!) though.

Hmm, how to answer. . . the folks I dealt with were professional. Jake, our host, was adorable and very sweet. I did not meet Kevin, I heard him in the hallway but didn't pursue. I did not meet any of the YouTubers.

You're from Texas, I'm from Texas, they probably score a 5 on the southern hospitality friendly meter, but a 7 on the northeasterner friendly meter, if that makes sense.

Looks like a fun visit! I really enjoyed the pics.

Having made many trips to Yankeeland in the past, I totally understand what you mean on the friendly meter. Good folks, just a little different from the South.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
